State Farm-HomeOwners question

Hi

Does anyone know any State Farm offices that are still writing policies?
I called 5 offices today and all 5 said they already wrote too many for the year and cannot issue any more policies on Long Island.

I know Geico and Allstate stopped as well.

Thanks!

Re: State Farm-HomeOwners question

Is that an Island wide policy as per SF or are policies written by individual offices?

From what it seemed to me, it seemed office by office. Maybe they can only write a certain amount per year per office? At least that is what those 5 offices told me.

Re: State Farm-HomeOwners question

My State Farm office is located in W'chester.

It's in Tarrytown. I don't have the number but you could probably look up agencies in W'chester.

Re: State Farm-HomeOwners question

Did you confirm this with Allstate and Geico??

We used to have Allstate as part of a multii-policy plan but they dropped our glass coverage for our auto policy and I shopped around even though I'd heard that State Farm and Geico didn't do homeowners anymore.

We live on the south shore, about a mile north of the bay, but I got quotes from all three co.'s: Geico, Allstate, and State Farm. I found it was cheaper to split them up instead of going for the multi-policy discount. Geico has our car insurance now, and State Farm gave us the best deal on homeowners.

This was just in Jan of this year, too, that I got quotes from all 3. Maybe it depends on which office you go to??

HTH.
