Gone with the Wind

So I have to say that I am 32 years old and just read this book for the first time..

I don't know how I feel about it.. While I loved how richly she described everything, I did find myself a little bored at times..

I do feel bad for Scarlett though.. She had a tough time of things but then again she was pretty headstrong about what she wanted and her way of doing things..

I am glad I read it though..

Aw-I read this book when I was 19 or so and I loved it. Haven't picked it up since though.

I read it when I was about 11 and loved that book sooo much...I haven't read it since though (I am not a re-reading type of gal) so I am not sure how I would feel about it now.

I read it when I was 15 and just reread it last month and needless to say saw things in a new light all these years later Chat Icon It inspired me to rewatch the movie, too.

I loved it then and loved it even more now. Mitchell paints a strong female heroine who is flawed yet likable. I found the "Frankly my dear" scene so heartbreaking and was actually angered on her behalf this time around.

It is so worth reading. While long, it went really quickly!
