Help! I'm so new and clueless at this.....

Ladies, I need some help. I’m new here and new to TTC and I need you to tell me whether I am crazy or not.

DH and I started TTC this month. My cycles are not super-regular – they are usually between 25 and 27 days, and, to be honest, before very recently, I didn’t keep very good records or count days very carefully. Wasn’t really a priority til now Chat Icon.

My last cycle was 27 days. AF last started in 2/26. According to my babyzone.com calendar, based on me saying that I had a 27 day cycle, I was “supposed to” ovulate on 3/10. On 3/7, I had what my inexperienced eye called EWCM. We BD’d on 3/7, 3/8 and 3/10.

Yesterday and the day before I had sore boobs and this morning I felt pretty queasy until I went to the cafeteria at work and ate a bagel (I had had my regular breakfast at home, same as I do everyday). This is not usual for me. I get sore boobs RIGHT before AF, but she is not due until the very end of next week.

So, here is my question, IF I ovulated on 3/7, I’d be 8 DPO today (3/15), right? Is it possible that I am feeling early symptoms and am not just hyperaware of my body? When can I test???????? The suspense is killing me, and this is only our first month!!!! Does the 2WW get any easier? I want to POAS, but, I don’t want to waste my money and emotional energy.

Thanks so much for your help!!!!
AS I write this, my boobs are gettign really sore again....... I think I might just be a hypochondriac!!!!!Chat Icon

ETA: I have one Answer Early test at home. It is tempting me...... DH thinks I am a kook.

If you are 8 DPO now I would say wait until 13-14 DPO to test.
That way you make sure you were accurate in your ovualtion date.
if you don't get your period by the 22nd, I would test.

Thanks. Yikes, that's not until at least Monday. I'll do my best to wait!

Sassy, based on your posts, you are a champion of waiting to test! I bow to your self restraint and will power!!!!!!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Well thank you.
I'd rather wait and see the positive then take the test and see the negative, you know?
Once you get to know your cycle you'll know your average leutal phase, etc-

so here's to BFPs for BOTH of us... and everyone else on TTC!

8 dpo is definitely too early.
I know it's hard not to test, but I agree that waiting a few extra days for a BFP is better than testing early and seeing a BFN.

Good luck and welcome!!!
