need laptop rec
i teach and am going back for another masters degree, if that matters.
i do not want an apple and i dont want to spend a ton of money.
any ideas?

I was going to suggest a Mac Book but since you said no Apple I will suggest the dell mini. It's really easy to cart around but not sure if it's too small for you

I too was going to say the MacBook because I love mine. I second the Dell or even Gateway. I heard they are not too expensive.

BestBuy, WalMart and Staples all have Gateway, Compaq and Toshiba units going for $399
Skip the Minis/Netbooks, they are for light usage like websurfing and email.
What are you going to school for? If you'll need special software get a full-service laptop so you know the programs will run correctly
