First Dr. visit yesterday

My doctor confirmed my fears, something is definitely amiss. His first "guess" is PCOS or some form of ovulatory dysfunction. He also warned that we may never know for certain what the problem is...but we can rule out what it isn't.

He is optimistic that I'll recover easily once we can start treatment(s). I had my blood work done this morning. Now the waiting begins!

I am at CD50 today. Chat Icon At this point I want AF to get here just so I can feel like my body is doing something right finally.

I was very upset after the appointment, I knew something was wrong, but hearing it just made it all real. I cried and cried and made poor DH watch me cry about 1/2 hour so he sent me shopping. Chat Icon Hey, I might be "broken" but I will look good!

I know its easier said than done but please try not to be too upset. Many many women with PCOS have gone on to have successful pregnancies. I know in a perfect world you'd rather nothing be wrong at all but its very treatable....definately not a horrible diagnosis...know what I mean? Well, even though it is upsetting, the good news is you can start treating your IF and move on to getting your BFP. I have a high DHEA-S level which could possibly be the reason why I wasn't getting pregnant. It was upsetting to hear, but now I'm taking medicine to correct it and will hopefully get my BFP soon. It's upsetting to find out, but it will bring you closer to having a baby! Chat Icon Chat Icon

I totally understand what you are going through. Hearing all of that is never easy and we definitely need to just cry and let it all out. After that, think to the future, get together your plan, and know that you are on the road to having a baby now. Every step you take brings you a little closer. A friend said something to another friend that I thought was so beautiful - she said women who go through fertility treatments are moms before they are even moms because even before they conceive a child they are fighting for them!!

What a great DH you have - you totally deserved a shopping spree - hope you got some cute shoes as well!

Best of luck!
