You don't find out what Kate did until later in the season.

If I vaguely remember, didn't they kind of copy the plot of that old Claire Danes movie where she was being jailed for transporting drugs?

no. not drugs.
I don't want to say, for the people that want to watch them all in repeats for the first time.
You could find it online, or FM me.
And yes, last week was Pilot part 1 & yesterday awas Pilot part 2. Pilot the episode, not pilot the man. Pilot the man, was only in Pilot part one.
