Bottles on Vacation
How do you clean bottles on vacation. If I am out all day I can rinse them and even clean them somewhat. But when I get back to our room at night I was going to wash them again. I know I'm going to be a little grossed out since they have not gone through the d/w. DD is 6 months old so I don't have to sterilize necessarily but what can I do? My room does have a microwave (I don't have a microwave sterilizer). Is there some other way I can clean them with the microwave so they will be cleaner than just washing them in the bathroom sink - yech!

Re: Bottles on Vacation
is your DC attached to one type of bottle? if not, you can buy a playtex drop in bottle (they sell single ones at walmart) and a few nipples, then you just gotta worry about washing the nipples. you can soak them overnight and then wash them good in the morning. dont know if it will work for you, just an idea

Re: Bottles on Vacation
I brought dishwashing soap and just washed them in the bathroom sink. I also brought paper towels with me to lay them on the counter and to dry them.

Re: Bottles on Vacation
i bring a small bottle of dishwashing soap and a bottle brush. i wash them when i get back to the room in the bathroom sink. sometimes they're sitting out for hours, but the same happens for me at home. i don't sterilize or put them in the dish washer at home. i just clean them when i can. don't worry, they'll still be clean!
