progest?

well after 4 misscarriages the doc finally wants to give me the suppositories 200mgs of prog. has anyone ever taken them?doc told me get prego and as soon as i find out take them twice a day ? im so nervous .. will this hold my pregnancy

I've been on 200mg 2 capsules 2x day (so a total of 4). I started around 4-4.5 weeks at a lower dose and they increased it until I got to this dose, which is the max. So far I haven't had any spotting at all, despite lowish numbers (started at 10, went on supps, increased to about 15). They do recommend that you lay down for about 20 mins after inserting them though.

If all that's wrong with the preg is the progesterone, then that should help you until the second trimester when the placenta makes the progesterone. If there's a chromosome issue, the progesterone won't help though.
