open house...
what normally happens at an open house? Its for a position at a hospital. Do they do interviews? Or are we really just dropping off resumes?

I'd be interested in knowing that too. I see some agencies list them weekly.
I've been to a JOB FAIR before, and basically it was just dropping off a resume and chatting with some of the employers about their agencies and briefly the types of positions they had available. Then they ended the convo by saying "they'd review my resume and be in touch". Some of the "employer tables" were a lot more crowded than others and it was really impossible to speak to anyone. It was awhile ago, right after I graduated from social work school in 2004, but I did get a couple of calls from it for interviews.
