Not sure what to think... the book was great, but I don't know how it will translate, esp. with a guy like Peter Jackson directing.

I loved LOTR, but will not watch Lovely Bones.
Since I became a mom I have no desire to watch something where a child (young teen in this case) is murdered  I can't even make it through your average Cold Case anymore.

I agree. I loved this book! There is so much that I want to say but I don't want to ruin it for anyone who has not read it yet! All I will say is that I felt it was an important, creative, heartbreaking, and hopeful story. I was soooooooo emotionally invested that I don't know if I could watch events unfold in live action (this is also why I could not watch The Kite Runner movie.)
