UPDATE: telling my dad tonight
I am very nervous about telling people, but we are having my dad's bday dinner tonight and we decided to tell him then, which means that my bro and his wife will know too.
He's known our whole ordeal with IF and he is going to be thrilled.
I am 8w3d today, I had a sono with Dr B last thursday and everything looks great, measuring right on and the heart rate was 168!
ETA: So I told my dad last night and he is so happy for us.
Back in December my dad was chatting with a friend (Mr. K) of his and he asked how the family was doing, and for some ungodly reason he decides to tell Mr. K about my IF struggles. It turned out Mr. K has a BIL who lived in Africa for 25 years and has this fertility god statue. Well, the next day my dad gives me the statue to put in my bedroom. So the statue has been there since December and it worked!
During his b-day dinner I said "So Dad, remember that statue Mr. K gave me? Well it worked!!!"
