Laptop: Is it safe?
DH gets upset when I have the laptop on my lap, he says it is unhealthy.
Is this true? TIA

Re: Laptop: Is it safe?
I have no proof for it, but I don't like having a laptop on my lap. Whenever DH has it on his lap, I give him the lap-desk thing (don't know it's name). He laughs at me, but I say I don't want my future children radiated.

Re: Laptop: Is it safe?
i'm pretty sure it's fine for us to have it on our laps, but not for men b/c it can effect fertility b/c of the high temperature

I can't imagine that the difference between it being on your lap and a computer--laptop or not--being inches away from any part of you--period.

Re: Laptop: Is it safe?
Last year I called about a problem with our laptop, it was getting too hot and I wanted to send it in so they could take a look. The woman I spoke to said she knew someone whose laptop got really hot within seconds and burned his thighs, she said he had 3rd degree burns . so she said it's a very bad idea to put a laptop in your lap(man or a woman) in case something like this happen.
I still do it though
