How do you figure how many weeks/ days?
If the first day of my last period was August 12th- am I 5wks6days??? Probably a stupid question but I don't get it LOL. And when you go for a sono at 6wks is that right at 6 or 6wks6days or something like that? Thanks!!!

i want to say 4w5d. you go for ur appt whenever the doctor can see u. it may not exactly be 6w.

we are on the same schedule so my last af was aug 12 and I am 4weeks 5days almost 5 weeks from what the doctor told me today

how are you guys figuring it out? are you doing it online or is there a rule?
my last AF began on 7/28 and i am getting different opinions on my EDD (my first OB appt. isnt until 9/23)

I'm so bad...I just go to the online sites where you make the tickers and go based on the LMP.

When I went to my doctor she told me exactly how far I was along but I used a site where you put in the first day of your last period and thats how they calculate it

it also depends on your period cycle length, not just when your last period was. So doctor will probably check sono and hormones to tell you more accurately where you are.

you can count from your last period, just count the weeks and days since then but you could be less far along if you ovulated late. I went to my first appt yesterday and she determined due date by the size of the baby in the sonogram.

Once you have a sono they will be able to measure exactly how far along you are..I though i was 7 weeks when i went to the dr and found out i was 5w6d...i was off i must have O'ed late!

I got all sorta of confused with this and according to my last period I was 12 weeks but when they did the sono I was only 6... Soo my advise... just wait to see what the doc says. lol
