Lollipop Theater
I just saw a segment on the Today show that seriously made me tear up -- about a wonderful organization called Lollipop Theater.
This organization brings new & current movies to hospitals around the country, allowing kids who are too sick to go to the movies, to view them in the hospital when they come to theaters, instead of having to wait for the DVD later and miss out on the big hits!
When the film 'premieres' at the hospital--they make a big deal out of it for the kids, including a "red carpet" with camera flashing and taking tons of pics and giving the kids a real movie experience they would never be able to do otherwise.
Such a simple thing that we all might take for granted, brings an ENORMOUS amount of joy to them, and this is a small organization that doesn't do much press and hoopla.
Maybe if you know a hospital who could benefit, you can let them know, and even donate a few dollars to the cause. I figured I'd post this here cause the story just touched me.
