Unfortunately, I have experience with this. Hospice is generally for palliative care. That having been said, you never have to give up hope.

The main goal of hospice is to make the patient comfortable in their last days.

From what I know- Hospice is called to make the end more comfortable/peaceful

I dont know what your situation is- but my aunt works for hospice- if you have any questions, feel free to fm.
The old image of hospice is that they come in to make people comfortable- that is not all they do now- they also do a lot with supporting families of sick people and making their patients well enough to do things on their bucket list

I missed your post, but my mom spent about 2 months under the care of hospice earlier this year. We had 2 weeks of care at home and then moved into a facility for the remaining time. I slept there myself 5 or 6 nights per week and was there every second I could be. If you have ANY questions feel free to FM me.
