bringing breast milk on plane
I have a question....
I am going to NY for 19 days with my ds. I am EBF but will not be able to do it for every feeding while in NY
I know bm has to be tossed 24 hours after defrosted. Initally I was going to bring frozen bm.
Should I just bring fresh new refrigerated bm which i am going to keep in my insulated frozen cooler bag?
If I do that it will last about 7 days right? as long as it stays cold. I just dont want to be pumping the whole time i am there.

I'm confused- are you going to BF while you're there?
The fresh milk should keep for about a week as long as it is kept cold.

I will be able to, just not as often as i do now. My parents own a business and i am going to work a few shifts. So other people will be watching my dc.\
I am bringing my pump, but i dont want to spend a lot of time pumping.

Re: bringing breast milk on plane
I've been away a few times and each time I made bottles with breast milk on my carry on. I also brought my breast pump along with frozen bags as well. I packed them in my suit case that I check in and flew to FL. When I got to FL it was still frozen and good. I looked into overnighting the milk but it would have melted in the transition and it would have been over 4100 to overnight to FL. Hope this helps

Thank you! My flight in total is only 3 hours. With a layover. Im glad the milk will most likely stay frozen. Thank you
