Mortgage Interest Rates
Anybody lock in to a good mortgage interest rate this week? Don't know when I should lock in!

How can you say what a certain rate is though? Isnt it diff for everyone based on credit/% down etc?
Just asking bc we can now lock in anytime ourselves... but our rate on an FHA is 5.25 right now...  If I saw anything in the 4 range, i'd lock in asap! Loan officer said it looks like rates are going to drop a bit still... cant be certain of course though

Yeah, I guess it does all depend on your situation. I'm doing a 30 yr fixed conventional. My goal is to hit 5.0% or lower. Current rates being quoted to me are a little higher than that. My loan officer also said he expects rates to go down a little very soon (but of course not guaranteed!), so I'm holding off on locking in for now...

My broker had 4.75 fixed 30yr today. Unbelieveable.
A shame i don't have my signed contracts yet.

I didnt know this but make sure if thats the rate with paying 1 point or not... Im working with WF and had no idea the rates on their site are lower than what im getting bc it assumes you're paying 1 point
