Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I was thinking of adding it to my registry. I don't want his little tush to get cold from the wipes. Moms, is it a waste?

I cannot rave enough about the wipes warmer. I LOVE it because it keeps the wipes nice and warm and makes diaper changing so comfortable for the baby.

Personally, I think it's a waste. When you go out of the house you won't be able to bring it with you.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
for us it was a waste too. we used it for a week or so. i felt like the wipes at the bottom got dried out and DD didn't care how warm the wipes were anyway...they are going to be cold when you are out also.

From what I've read on here it's a complete waste. We didn't register nor plan on buying one.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I loved mine, I think it made a big difference during those cold winter months. I'm getting a new one for my new one on the way, we broke the top on the other one.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
My sister has one for her 3week old and it is great. It definitely makes changing her diaper easier. The cold wipes make her startle (just like cold lotion etc.) If I hadn't seen it before, I would say no but I will DEFINITELY be registering for one!
ETS for infants who are home all the time it is great, I am sure they will outgrow it.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
Waste of money. I used mine for a week or so and the bottom wipes were always dry. If you are really concerned, just blow on them...it works just as well! Good luck!

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
we were all against it with ds until i would say a month after he was born... once it got cooler out those wipes got cold... but it wasnt an issue down stairs, only in the nursery where the chaging table is on the outside wall... once it started getting warmer out we put it away
eta: we did find we got peed on alot less when the wipes were warm...

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I did not have one for DD. I would just hold the wipe in my hand a few seconds before touching her with it.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I heard it was a lifesaver for middle of the night diaper changes in the winter months.....baby can sleep right through if there's no startle factor???????? I registered for it, not sure that I'll use it.

BBB actually has a portable one so I may consider that.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
Nope I don't want Peanut to get used to her diaper changes all being warm and I would NEVER ask others to change her with warm wipes. I think starting her out like this sets her up for bad diaper changes when she is with others, and I also can not think to spend even $20 on making something warm for a bottom. If that were the case I should have had it all these years for MY tush!

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
If the wipes are really cold, you can warm them in your hand for a second before you use them.
IMO it is a waste.

that is 100% true in our world... we only used it for the middle of the night changes as during the day we changed him down stairs...
as for drying it out i have one that has a moist pad you keep on the heating coil and if you keep up with it then you never have drying out

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I didn't use one for DS but he was born when it was still warm out. I was thinking of this but, my cousin said they are very dangerous? She said hers nearly set the dresser on fire it got so hot...anyone ever hear this?

Absolultely!
I LOVED my wiper warmer. I always raved about it. My DS was born in the winter so that I think is a major factor. I am due in Feb and will be replacing the older one.
I also used it to keep wet wash cloths warm because in the first few weeks they recommend just water when changing diapers.

Re: Are you getting a Wipes Warmer?
I'm all about comfort but I never got one. They can be a fire hazard. Yes, I know that some of them are safe but I have a major fear of fire. The wipes are not as cold out of the container as I thought they might be.
