About to lose my cool!
I have been trying for 3 days and 3 hours on the phone today to get my script filled for my Gonal-F pen.
All I keep getting is the run around, it's covered, no it's not, just the procedure is covered, you have to call your pharmacy, you use MEdco, no you don't. I do not know how I have not screamed, cursed or started crying yet, this is friggin ridiculous!!!!!!
How did I know that the week I bought the house (and it needs a TON of work) that I would have to go through something like this. I figured it would be an IVF conversion and mentally prepared myself for that, but NO, it's the freakin insurance company! 
Sorry, I just had to get that off of my chest and I would have to eplain soooo many other things to anyone else. I figured if anyone would understand it would be you ladies!

I have an open pen with 450 units in it. If you need it let me know. It is good until 11/8!!

I'm sorry. I had that prescription hell when I was doing IUIs. Ask if you can pay OOP and get reimbursed.

It seems that we are both very similar.
It IS covered by Medco. Under my plan (medco, but with a university), I get a certain sum of money for ALL fertility drugs with a lifetime max.
A course of Gonal F for an IUI was going to run me OOP about $1000.
My advice: go to a small independent pharmacy (who will actually take their time & make calls for you).

i am so sorry you have to deal with that. insurance companies are the WORST! they make everything so GD difficult. i cannot stand them!

Sorry that your having a difficult time with the insurance company. Try asking your RE's office if they have any you could have until you get it worked out with them.

Thanks ladies, I was able to get a small pen from my RE's office. They really are great!
