I am trying to track my EWCM how do I know it is ewcm and not other types of discharge.

It looks like egg whites. If you put it between your thumb and pointer finger and then separate your fingers it will stretch. Other types won't do that.

Mine stretches over an inch, but I can't say that everyone's is like that.

You may not get EWCM- it depends on your body. I got it one cycle and haven't really seen it since. I have creamy CM and then it gets watery right before I O. There are different types of CM and there is a way to tell if it's not "normal", but I forget  I will have to look it up!

right before ovulation, the CM gets more fetile to allow the sperm to swim where they need to
if the CM is thick it is not condusive to conceiving
if it is clear, watery, stretchy or like egg whites, it is considered fertile
you can take evening primrose oil or use pre seed to assist if you are not having a lot of it on your own

Also..........just because you don't see the EWCM on the outside it doesn't mean it's not up inside of you ready to transport the sperm to your egg. Sometimes I see my EWCM and other times, even if I ovulate, I don't notice it.

If it's stretching that far (over an inch) it soundsl ike it is EWCM. EWCM is more "transparent" than regular CM. I get it EWCM every month, I have very regular cycles), and it will not be as thick and sticky as other types.
