Updated-Going for my HSG tomorrow- IM back
Im a little scared but more anxious for answers. Wish me luck girls
OH BOY!!!!!! Welp it took about 10 minutes, I got to see everything on the screen. It did hurt, especially when the balloon is pumped and then when they have to take it out and take pictures of the removal- ugh that was painful too.
I lost all color, the doctor and the assistant wouldnt let me get up for about 5 minutes, then I had to sit up and wait again 5 minutes before they let me up and walk. I told them I was fine just felt intense cramps. I took 800 mg of ibuprofen 1 hour prior, maybe that was too early.
As I was leaving and in the car I started to tear b/c suddenly the cramps maginfied 100x more than what I felt inside the building. It lasted about 5 minutes, my poor car door- I must have hit it 10 times, LOL, but amazingly after 5 minutes the pain vanished and I am fine. My appt. was at 11 am this morning.
and now for the results, welp the doctor said everything looked good from what he can see on the screen but the xrays will show him for sure and my doctor will have the results in an hour. I saw the fluid fill up on each side and fast, it was pretty cool to watch. So I am crossing my fingers that the xrays dont show anything that he couldnt see on the screen. I am going to call my doctor on my way to work in about a half hour.

Its over FAST...just keep thinking that if you get anxious. Truly its less then 5 minutes long from start to finish!

Good luck -- I just had it about 2 weeks ago. It was a relief to know the situation (my tubes are not blocked). It was really over so fast, and personally I only had a moment of discomfort. Try to relax and do some deep breathing exercises...good luck!

Good Luck !!! Remember to take some advil beforehand !!!
I took 3 tablets, 2 hours prior and then 3 more tablets 1 hour prior and had very little discomfort.
I will be thinking of you
