need advice

I haven't asked DH what he thinks...but I wanted to ask you girls...

Ok I am about 8DPO today...and now I am starting to get crazy thinking about symptoms...sucks I know...

So just like last month I am going away this weekend to Mohegan sun w/ DH and people from his work. Pretty much all expense paid...so originally I wanted to go and be careful (like have a glass of wine) and then test on 10th (DH"s birthda) and that would be 16DPO!

BUT...do I go away w/out testing before? Friday morning would be 12DPO still early....

I would like to go away and just go about my business but is that irresponsible of me? Especially since i used OPK's and did my best this month...

I would test this Friday if I were you. At that point you will be 12 DPO so tests would be pretty accurate. That way you can atleast put your mind at ease about drinking. But if you do test bon friday and it doesn't show up yet & u get a bfn....will that ruin your weekend?? If so, then i would wait till after you get back from your weekend away.

Even if you had a drink or two I wouldn't worry. Enjoy yourself.

Honestly, I would wait to test. I would enjoy my weekend away and not worry about anything. If I tested on Friday and got a BFN, I know for me personally, I would be disappointed all weekend. If I got a BFP, I wouldn't want to drink and I also would worry about spilling the beans.

i would enjoy the weekend and then test when you get home...you and the baby don't share your blood stream until about the 6 week mark so you should be fine! enjoy & good luck!!!

Ya you are right...a BFN would ruin my weekend and there is no way the secret could be kept...Last month I got AF on the monday after my weekend away so I might as well just wait till AF is late like I always said I would...plus it would be good for DH's birthday.

I would have fun this weekend and try not to think about it! I think it would be great to get a BFP on DH birthday so I would try and hold out till then!

And you have a few weeks that alcohol won't harm the baby, so don't worry about that right now. Have a good weekend!!

I'd wait as well. Don't worry about drinking- you'd have awhile before the baby would be affected by anything you ingested (at least a couple more weeks).

While I agree with the other ladies that you should enjoy your weekend, and a BFN would definitely not help the cause, I don't know if I (personally) would be able to hold out. You seem to have more wiilpower than I do though!!

First off, I think it's great that you and DH are so active (you got lots of fun places!). That being said, I agree with the other ladies and think you should wait. Enjoy your weekend away and then you'll figure it all out when you return. Besides, if you test before you go, it might be too early. You might get a BFN and be disappointed (ruin your weekend) and then get a BFP when you return. Why chance it?

I would wait if I were you. Like the other girls said, you can enjoy yourself!!!!! This way, if it's a BFN you're home with your DH and don't need to see anyone and if it's a BFP, well then you can celebrate with your DH!

don't test, have fun, and don't you go near any ...

cvs, rite aid, walgreens, walmart, kmart, dollar tree, family dollar, duane reade or any other evil tempter that sells those damn hpt's!!

...and don't bring one with you

be strong!!!! and test when you get home, whatever the results may be, at least you had a good weekend.

I know this is a bit late but I agree with what everyone else said; wait until the 10th. Have a good time this weekend!!

Im waiting until Sunday to test; Ill be 15 DPO I dont want any confusion this month!!!

Ya I don't want confusion later. I will try to hold out till tuesday which is about 16 or 17 DPO....if not then I will give in and do it monday...we'll see!
