Dear ___
Dear Doctor,
Why do you and your staff constantly remind me that as a first time mother I am: - "most likely going to be 2 weeks late?" - "you really shouldn't think of yourself as being 4 weeks from your due date, think of yourself as 6 weeks since you'll probably go late" - "if you do go 2 weeks late, even when we induce it might take 3 days for the baby to be born." - "no we don't do internals until your due date because you'll probably be late anyways"
Honestly, I don't need to hear this. I know chances are strong that I will go late. But my back hurts, I haven't had a good nights sleep in 9 months, my boobs are getting bigger by the second, my heartburn is killing me, don't even talk to me about constipation and the dreaded H-word, and I still have 4 weeks to go (until my due date!).
I really don't need to be reminded every SINGLE time I see you that I'll probably go late. You're driving me crazy!
Oh, and for the record, my best friend had her baby last week. First time mom. 1 week early. 5 hours of labor and 4 pushes. FOUR PUSHES! What does that do to your theory?!?!
Sincerely, Your annoyed 35 week 5 day pregnant patient.
AND
Dear MIL,
It might be nice if you emailed or called me to see how I'm doing and how this pregnancy is going. One email since May does not count as appropriate contact.
I don't appreciate that you've ignored the multiple emails I've sent to you since May (including ones with sonogram pics of your grandchild), and that finally when you respond to my email it's 2 lines long, all about you, and doesn't bother to ask how I'm feeling. This is especially frustrating when I specifically go out of my way to be friendly and ask all about how things are with you and what's going on in your life. I don't know what I've done to you (except perhaps that I married your golden child and now we live across the ocean), but I have about zero patience left.
I've held my tongue and not mentioned your behavior to your son but my patience is running out.
"Love", Your extremely patient daughter-in-law who, in case you forgot, is carrying your grandchild.

Re: Dear ___
Dear Secretary at work who I don't like,
If I am having a conversation with other secretaries about baby names, since they asked, no need to chime in that you're not too "keen" on my girl choice.
A) As I mentioned, everyone gets the chance to name their own kids what they want.
B) We have no relationship, never have - so why even add to the conversation?
C) You may not be "keen" to my name but you sound like a Smurf and your voice would make my dog howl.
Carry on.

Re: Dear ___
Dear DH,
WHY oh WHY is it when I asked you one, yes ONE simple thing-put the clothes in the dryer and fold them when they are done, did you not only not check them to see they were soaking, but left them in there for me and now my favorite maternity top has mold stains. Seriously? Now you can get me McDonalds and a new tank. I might consider forgiving you tomorrow. I am just too exhausted from washing that stuff 5 times!
Your Pizzed off Wife.
Dear MIL,
Make one more comment to my husband about me. I dare you.
Your psychotic angry hormone fueled daughter in law.
Dear NY Mets,
Can you do what the Yankees did this year next year? Make 2010 even more special for me! Or lets start small-can we make some changes in the training staff? I would really like to see a World Series Win before I hit retirement.
Your faithful yet disenchanted fan.
and last, because I am on a roll.
Dear Top Chef judges,
Just eliminate Robin. She is not going to win and her mere existence offends me. She can't cook-you all seem to agree and yet she stays. Work with us here.
Your pregnant obsessed fan

I HATE HATE HATE this more than anything!
I decided to keep our baby names a complete secret because once, before I was PG, my darling MIL made a nasty comment about a name I said I liked. That was all it took for me - so 'mum's' the word until baby makes his or her appearance!
I'm sorry you're going through that - some people shouldn't be allowed to speak!!

Dear Work,
I'm sick and there's nothing I can do about it. I'm trying, it's not working and I'm frustrated and concerned that my baby is OK. Let me heal the right way.
