What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I am just curious as to what everyone's definition is. IS it a certain $$ amount or a certain amount of items.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
Hundreds of dollars. Maybe thousands.
Not $200
It also depends where you go shopping. You can get 20 outfits at one store for $1000 but get only 1 designer suit for the same amount.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
a "spree" for me would be well over $1K
shoes, bags, clothes, more then just one category of clothing
so much stuff someone would have to help me to my car

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
For me.. a shopping "spree" would be spending $200+ on clothes in one shot..
but that's only because I usually buy my clothes one or just a few items at a time.. I don't buy a new "wardrobe" I just buy as needed or wheneven I see something I really like

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I just had a shopping "spree" -- I needed to update/replace many pieces in my wardrobe, everything from camisoles to tights to shoes to suits for work. I bought multiple items for multiple occassions (but some may disagree if this was a spree because I made a carefully planned list in advance and ONLY bought things on my list).

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
Well with out a lot of $ you cant really buy a lot of items...so I say money...for me a shopping spree would be $500 around.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I don't really equate it with money, but more the number of items.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
$500+, but it would need to be more than 5-7 items.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I usually average $30 per top, $50 per bottom so anything $300 and over is a spree for me.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
For me it would be the number of items i came home with. If I spent $200 but got 8 items, that would be a spree but if I only got a coat for $1000 I wouldn't think of it as one.

Yea defin over 1000 But on more than one item, like multiple items
I am thinking about purchasing a chanel bag, which is over 2k+ I wouldn't consider that a shopping spree though.

This is how I would define it. In addition my sprees are where I go out, not always with something in mind but come home with a lot of bags

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I forgot to respond to my own question. SImilar to other to me it is a combo of the amount of things and price. So like $700 if I bought a bunch of stuff (i.e. shoes, jeans, make-up etc.) Lots of shopping Bags!!!
But if I went and bought a bag for $1000+ I would not consider that a shopping spree.
I was curious because I see people posting abouts going on a spree and was curious as to what that meant. But then again I think I shop A LOT...shhhhhhh don't tell DH (I tell him everyone shops like I do)

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
I just went on a "spree." I got a few pairs of jeans, several sweaters, a nice new bag, 3 or 4 pairs of shoes/boots, skirts/camis, jackets etc. I spent a lot of money, but I felt in desperate need of...something...I tried on skinny jeans and for the first time jeans REALLY fit me. I didn't have any nice work clothes, I had always worn jeans/tees/boots and a zip up sweater so I bought nice tights, pencil skirts etc. I got things for as little as 9.99 as spent as much as 400 (on my bag.) The boots and shoes got up there too. I did return some items I didn't like/love. I also sold A TON of stuff on ebay. I made back about two or three hundred dollars on that and I am not even finished going through my "sale" items in my wardrobe. I am definitely taking a break though. My husband is going to FLIP when he sees the AMEX bill.

Re: What would you consider a "shopping spree"?
To me its buying things I really don't need. I just spent $125 in Sephora on a whim--to me that was a bit of spree.

Exactly. I was thinking after I posted that I should add that.
Like, my wedding band or a Movado watch will cost more than $1K but if it is on multiple things then it is a spree.
