Really DUMB question... Update at the bottom of post.
Is it possible to have bleeding (period like) in the very early stages of pregnancy? Like, before you even know you're pregnant - you might think it's your period???
I feel sooooooo stupid asking this. I never POAS bc I got my period right when I was supposed to (on Monday). But last night, I stopped bleeding which is very unusual for me. I usually have at least 5 or 6 days of bleeding.
At first I just chalked it up to a short period (which it probably is) but then my mind started going crazy as usual so I figured I'd shame myself by asking this riduculous question on here.

Re: Really DUMB question...
Could be implantation bleeding but MOST women do not get that.
Honestly...take a HPT. That could be an answer.

Re: Really DUMB question...
you never know. I'm usually a full week with AF, BUT in the past I have rarely experienced very short ones (lasting only a couple days). So it could just be the same for you. But you never know! I've heard that some women can bleed during early pregnancy. Did you ever see that "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant" show on TLC?
If i were you, I'd test just to be on the safe side. It couldn't hurt. The worst that would happen is you get a BFN
Good luck!

Re: Really DUMB question...
AF usually last 5 days for me and on day 3 it usually stops and then comes back light on day 4. does your pd. sometimes stop in the middle of it?

Re: Really DUMB question...
most women do not get implantation bleeding; its pretty uncommon however, lots of women do bleed in the early stages; after implantation has occurred; when their period is due

No. Usually AF is consistent for 6-7 days, the 7th days being pretty light.

Yes, it called implantation bleeding.
I thought about that... but doesn't implantation bleeding occur around 7-10 DPO? My period was right on time (my cycle is about 27 days).
I think I'm just going to test with FMU tomorrow morning.
I doubt I'm pregnant, but this is just so unusual for me.
Thanks!!

Re: Really DUMB question...
If it was like 5-7 days earlier than your normal period (if you are normal and right on track) and it was very short, i would say it was implantation bleeding

Re: Really DUMB question...
I tested yesterday. On the FRER there was the faintest line, like you needed a microscope to really see it. So then I tested with a digital (I peed in a cup) and it was a BFN. So then after that, I was curious to see what the inside of a HPT test looked like so I ripped the FRER wide open to get a look.
My period started with a normal flow on Monday (14DPO) as per what was expected. It stopped completely on Wed. which was sooooo unusual because normally today would be the last day of my period. I guess TBAF was just playing tricks. Onto the next month!!!
