Where I am at...
Even though we got our new insurance, which will cover us for IVF, and I was all set to start cycling on 12/7, I have had nothing to report because a few weeks ago my new RE found an ovarian cyst that he believed to be complex, either a dermoid or cystadenoma. He referred me back to my gyno who sent me for an MRI to try to find out the composition.
This morning I found out that it is a hemorrhagic cyst, which is good news. Basically it is just blood-filled and normally wouldn't be of concern, but in my case it has to come out because it has been there for over a year and isn't going away on it's own. It especially has to come out before they start zapping my ovaries with drugs for IVF.
So, I am very relieved and all set for laparoscopic surgery on the Tuesday before Thanksgiving. My gyno suggested two weeks off work, which is never going to happen The best I can do is 5 days or a week, but I'm already looking forward to the rest.
I have my fingers crossed for IVF in January of 2010.

Re: Where I am at...
Oh I am sorry that you have to wait.. but I think it is great you are getting this taken care of now. I am all for Laproscopy.. i had one in July and conceived naturally the next month after that (it ended in m/c) but I think the surgery really helps your uterus get ready!!
I hope everything goes well!!!good luck.. I will keep my fingers crossed for you.. let me know if you have any questions about the surgery...

I'm sorry that things got thrown off course a bit, but it's great that they were able to schedule the procedure so soon. Now you can enjoy the holidays and start fresh in 2010!

Re: Where I am at...
Sorry that IVF is getting delayed, but I am glad to hear it is delayed for something they can take of so quickly. I hope it is a quick recovery!!!

Re: Where I am at...
When I finally moved onto IVF, my cycle was supposed to start in December and it got cancelled also. They made us wait until January. While I was disappointed at the time, my cycle was a perfect one and I could not be happier with the outcome.
