I am entitled to 10 days holiday per year and I work monday to friday. This year was slightly diffrent, I worked m-f from Jan - June. Then I took off July, august, september and october as I had my baby. I am back at work now working monday, tuesday and wednesday and will work these days for the month of november and december.

Based on that how many days holidays to you think I am entitled to?

I dont have a HR company.

I think based on my company's policy, you'd be entitled to 5 (the days you earned while working full time).

this is a rough calculation (could also be off, and I was making some assumptions about your work days/weeks).

make sure you verify with your company before making assumptions, but I would say you are entitled to approximately 6 vacation days for this calendar year.

Here's the math:

Normally, you'd be entitled to .83 days per month (10days / 12 mo = .83, roughly).

You worked the first 6 months of the year, so earned 5 days (.83 x 6 = 5).

You are working the last two months of the year and each week, you are working 60% of what you used to work.

Therefore, if you are only earning 60% of the vacation time for the last two months, you'll only earn roughly 1 day over the course of Nov & Dec (0.83 x 2 months = 1.66 days x 0.60 percent = .996 days).

Thanks a lot. I was also calculating that I had earned one day as I took 5 days leave before I took my maternity leave.
