AF - what is going on??
I miscarried naturally less than 3 weeks ago. I only stopped bleeding 12 days ago. Wasn't expecting to get AF for another month....well, I got AF last night!!
What does this mean?? Everything with this m/c happened so fast - I didn't bleed for long, my betas went down to 5 in less than 2 weeks, and now I have AF a week later.
Does this mean I am back to normal and I will ovulate in a couple of weeks now? This means we can try again now, right??

Re: AF - what is going on??
Did you have a very early loss? Im not a doctor or anything but I think if it was very early, it is possible that you got AF and are back to normal. I had a d&c and it took 5 weeks for me to get AF but I have heard some girls that have chemicals get AF again right away.
I hope it was AF Do you have to follow up with your doctor again?

Re: AF - what is going on??
I was 6.5 weeks - so it was early, but it wasn't a chemical. My doctor gave us the go ahead to try again right away b/c I passed everything (confirmed by a sono) naturally with no complications. I just didn't think I would get AF this soon.
I obviously didn't ovulate b/w m/c and this AF, but should I assume I will now? I have always been pretty regular.

I ovulated my first cycle post m/c. Maybe try an OPK if you want to be sure? If the sono confirmed you passed everything, this has to be AF. Once my sono confirmed my uterus was empty, my dr told me to expect AF
Good luck trying again!!

Re: AF - what is going on??
After my mc i got AF about 1.5 weeks afterwards, so I don't think its uncommon or unheard of. As far as ovulating, I don't know. I didn't use opks right away so I have no idea if I ovulated right after the mc or not.

Re: AF - what is going on??
I think its tough to tell. did you ask your doctor? Did you have a follow up appt and see that everything was out?
I only ask because for me...I would stop bleeding and start for a while..and I would think it's AF and the doctor would say...I'm not sure...and it was frustrating! But it turns out that I didn't fully m/c on the meds and eventually I had a D&C...he told me after the D&C once I stoped bleeding...once I start again it will be AF...
One of the most frustrating things for me is that there is no "norm"...each person experiences it differently...so it's hard to tell what anything is

I know - I wish there was a norm to this!!!
My m/c was complete - I had a sono that confirmed everything passed, and my betas zero'd out.

Re: AF - what is going on??
So then I would go that it's AF! There should be no reason that it's not then.
Ya the no norm thing is rough! I kept asking my doctor questions about why and what does this mean...and he couldn't give me ANY answers. He felt so bad but just said everyone is different...so rough!

Re: AF - what is going on??
It sounds like it could be AF. If the Dr. gave you the okay to try again after 1 regular cycle, I would see no problem in trying again!

Re: AF - what is going on??
I was told by my doctor that once my beta hit zero, I should ovulate about two weeks later. I know your beta just recently went to zero. So this sounds like your period and the start of your regular cycle.
Hang in there..
