Romantic Weekend - where, recs of places to stay?
DH and I dont have much alone time so I was thinking for Xmas this year, Id get him a weekend away somewhere, just the two of us. Maybe a place with a spa and we could do couples massages.
Any recs? We dont want to break the bank and I do want to be able to drive there in 4 hours or less.
Thanks!

Its pricy, but East Winds has a spa and its almost like a little mini-resort.
There is also Gurneys in Montauk that also is a mini-resort.
Both within 4 hours with spas.

DH and i stayed here the night we got engaged. its about 30 minutes outside of AC- nice hotel, very quiet, you can do a wine tasting. i don't think they have a spa there, but its a great place to just unwind and be together. AC isn't too far so you can go there for dinner, gambling, drinks whatever...

IMO Gurneys is a huge rip-off.
Lenox, MA is nice. Kent, CT too. And we love New Hope, PA -- quaint and relaxing!

The Spa at Norwich Inn is beautiful and the best part is it is a 5 minute cab from Mohegan Sun!

Hershey is lovely as a pp mentioned but I think most of it is seasonal Poconos, they even have a "champagne glass bath", rotating beds, etc
