Westbury: Salisbury & Salisbury Estates
Can someone tell me about these areas? We are not from around here and we are looking to move into Nassau County somewhere. We drove through Salisbury Estates (Most prob all, with east meadow schools) and looked at a few open houses and from the outside it looks very nice. But's hard to tell a neightborhood by looks and we don't live around here so we don't know the neighborhood at all.
Also, how is Salisbury w/East Meadow School? I think Salisbury is the area sounding Salisbury Estates.
We don't live close to long island to do drive throughs various times of day or weekends to really get the neighborhood feel. So any help is greatly appreciated!
Also if anyone can recommend areas in Mid-Nassau and anything else closer to Queens with good school districts. We tend to like brick/older neighborhoods and our price range is around $500K.
Thank-you! Thank-you! Thank-you!

Re: Westbury: Salisbury & Salisbury Estates
This area is nice, I have friends that live there and they love it. Definitely avoid Westbury schools though. I live in Nassau and love it, other areas in your price range to consider are Williston Park, New Hyde Park, Carle Place, Mineola and Garden City Park. FM me if you have any questions, I'm happy to help!

Salisbury is very nice. The elementary school in Bowling Green and the ms/hs is Clarke, so E.M. Schools. It is a very accessible area and people keep up their homes.

I love Salisbury area. Quiet yet convenient to big malls, etc...
Maybe sure to check which school district a house you might be interested in is in. Some might be Westbury some might be East Meadow. Call the school district directly. Do not rely on an REA.

Yup I have friends who live here as well. Its very nice. I'd avoid Westbury SD at all costs though. I know when I was looking alot of the affordable houses in that area were Westbury schools...

Re: Westbury: Salisbury & Salisbury Estates
I have family there. I am not sure what you want to know specifically. I also looked in Salisbury Estates for a bit...wasn't for me though. FM if you want to ask more. Salisbury and Salisbury estates both use East Meadow schools. You would not want anything other than this if you did look there.

Also wanted to add, that area really isn't close to Queens....not as close as you think it is.
I would look in Floral Park Village, New Hyde Park if I were you, to have a nice area with good schools close to Queens.
Regarding queens it takes me 15 minutes to get to queens village 25 min for manhattan salisbury estates is really beautiful.
