i need help with home alarm systems
after what happen i do not need it happening again, so
if you have one what do you have?
how much is it a month?
what company?
are the ones at like home depot just as good?
any info you may have to help i would be grateful. TIA

If you get an alarm you will want it hooked up to a central monitoring station. We use ADT and we pay about $60 a month. There are probably cheaper plans though. I think a consult would be free so you should give them a call.
Sorry about what happened to you. I can't even imagine how violated you must feel.

Do you have an oil contract? I know my MIL has an alarm thru slomins (she was robbed and needed something asap and didn't have money for a good system) she said they put in a free system and the monthly charge was very inexpensive. It would be a basic package but might be all you need. My neighbors also have slomins and say that it was pretty cheap and they got a bunch of stuff for free.
A lot of the bigger companies tend to be more expensive.
$60 a month is a LOT to pay - when we looked most companies were $20-40 a month for central monitoring.

you can get a good system from anyone... depedns on what you want to pay. we have slomins, and we told them what we wanted. installation wasn't cheap since it was every window with glass breakage, every door, upstairs and down, most waired, wireless where they couldn't run the wires through tile. almost all of the major companies will offer you the fre or 99 dollar system which is basically a motion sensor on the 1st floor and the doors are alarmed, and you get 1 keypad. monitoring should run 25-30 per month unelss they are offering some sort of deal to only pay monitoring and giving you a more elaborate system. call around, see what they offer, and what the prices are. we opted for slomins, the price was competetive, and the monitoring was reasonable. plus we get a discount on our oil deliveries now too.

We use Lowitt Alarms Less than $30 a month for central station monitoring. Not sure how much installation is, it was already installed when we bought and we upgraded it.

HI Not sure if you found an alarm company but I reccomend always on security..very nice to deal with and less than 60 a month.

My Parents used "Alarmingly Yours" for many years and its great. We have had many false alarms and they would call right away and if we were not home the police would come asap.
