I have in the past. A visit to my mom for a few days, and a friends bachlorette party in Miami. Not a big deal for us.

Yes. Two friends and I went to Florida last spring w/o our DHs. Dh has gone to California alone to visit hs best friend. Not something I would do often, but it was nice to get away with the girls.

I've gone up to New Hampshire to be with my family for a week in some summers because DH had to work and really didn't want to come...haha...i don't mind. I have gone to visit friends out of state too. Before he got laid off he traveled alot for work so we were used to being apart for 2 weeks at a time or longer...

My parents have a place in Florida, this summer I went down for a few days with my mom. I am off in the summer so I figured, why not?
A lot of my friends have gotten married over the past cple years and this yr too, we sometimes do overnight bach parties.
I really prefer to go away with my DH though...I mean one night in Boston to visit my college friends is awesome...and it's only one or two nights. Longer than that, I just miss him too much.

Have traveled extensively for work (and vice versa) solo, though. No desire to take separate vacations.

Yea since we are married, 2 times.
Once for a bachellorette to poconos for 3 nights, and in May for a girls weekend to Newport RI
Missed him and my dog terribly, and when i was there wished i was home with them. But glad i went and had time apart

Yes. I even went to Paris on a girls trip without DH (this was only okay because we had already been there together). I prefer to travel with my DH though, I miss him too much when we're apart, but if the right opportunity presents itself, I'm all for it.

If I had to use vacation days from a job I would not use them to go away without him.

Not physically but when we got to Florida to see my parents, he spends his days golfing with my father and I spent the time with my mother, does that count? 
For us, I don't think we would vacation separately unless there was some special occasion that had no interest to the other and it was more like a long weekend. I don't have a lot of friends who vacation without their spouses either so it's never really come up.

Will I go away for a weekend or something, yes... and I have many times. I have good friends in California and PA and I may visit for a weekend. Would I go away for like a week? No. I don't want to leave my cats that long

I love going away with just the girls once in a while ! But its tough because we don't have the money & I'd feel bad spending it on a vacation for just me.
I have a bachelorette party weekend trip planned for next year though ! Can't wait for that !

Yep. Both work trips and real vacations. I would do it in a heartbeat again. He has too. We encourgae it actually, so that no one has to go somewhere or do something that doesn't interest them. Like he likes casinos and some concerts I have no interest in, so I send him with his friends!

twice since i've been with dh, i went to vegas with my mom, sister and niece. this spring i will be going there with my best friend... it's nice to go away without him occasionally and since he prefers not to fly, i gotta get to vegas somehow!

I can't imagine taking a vacation without my DH - but that's just me, I know every relationship is different.
My niece and sisters want to go away for her HS graduation present. If we organize this trip, it will be the first time I take a vacation without DH since 2004.  I know I'm gonna be a baby and miss him terribly, because whenever I'm having a good time somewhere, I want him to be there to experience it with me!

Yep!
He just doesn't have the same time off as i do, and I love travelling with friends.
Last year I went to DR for 5 days with friends and spent a week in Ireland with friends. We had such a great time!
I wish he had as much vacation as I do, but that's how it goes.

We're pretty independent so we've done that a lot, him more than me because he's the traveler. We both went to Colorado to visit my sister and then he left halfway through to go back to work. Another time, he went to France for a month to study abroad and I went to Colorado and visited my parents for a few days, who were camping in Massachusetts. He also goes to Florida to visit his best friend at least once a year. This spring a friend and I are probably taking another friend to a weekend away for her bachelorette party.
