OMG, seriously?
This has nothing to do with be childless I'm just complaining 
I am getting quotes from movers - before I go with anyone, I am checking them on the BBB site and on protectyourmove.gov because while I don't have a lot of stuff, I'd like to keep it and not pay a zillion dollars to move it 5 miles.
One guy that I called for a quote started with, "You know, you should have called last month."
 "Well, I got approved for my co-op YESTERDAY so it was out of my hands. Not that it's your business or anything."
So he tells me to check out protectyourmove.gov (already ahead of you guy) and says, "I can go through it with you since you might find it hard to understand."
Who the EFF are you talking to? Through my teeth I said, "Trust that reading comprehension is NOT one of my weaknesses."
Filing a complaint with his manager is going to be sweet.

We used Merit Moving and Deliveries - DH has used them before and liked them and so we used them for our 5 mile move! They were professional and CAREFUL - wrapped everything, and our stair railing, set up our large bedroom set, etc. Reasonable rates, no extra fees, etc. And not sexist ;) Plus we only had like 2 days notice, too. LMK if you want their number. (And now I'm going to look them up on that sie lol!!)

When we moved from Woodbury to Farmingville, we used Men on The Move. The price was very reasonable and the three moving men couldn't have been any nicer. They also came with extra boxes & tape incase they were needed and the price for the extra materials that we ended up using was good.

That's so funny - I used them last time I moved and they were the worst. They sent two guys that I could probably take in a fight. There was a box sitting in the middle of the room that I had just finished taping up before they showed up. They walked around or stepped over the box (wtih furniture) for 15 minutes before I suggested they move it out of the way. And they didn't bring a dolly so they had to carry each box - one. at. a. time.
