Holiday craft help!

I need some ideas for a craft that I can make with my 3 1/2 year old DS for grandparents, aunts etc. Last year we used the clear ornaments and put paint and glitter in them and shook them up. Any ideas/pics? TIA

If you google preschool christmas crafts a lot come up. There are some cute things with handprints, like calendars or wreaths.

Every year my kids make ornaments with their pictures on them. I get flat wooden shapes from Michaels or AC Moore and I drill a hole in the top so I can make an ornament hanger with twine later. The kids paint them with glitter paint and once dry I glue on a recent picture of them. Now they sign their names on the back and I put the year. My family loves putting them up on their trees every year.

The first year we did circles so they looked like ball ornaments, last year was bells. I'm thinking stars this year.

AC Moore & Michaels have unfinished frames that you could paint and decorate with scrapbook stickers or other embellishments.

My favorite is to decorate pine cones. If you go to a park you can also get them free. Get white paint and color the tips of the white cones to look like snow. Then glue and silver glider.

For an added twist, get a "shiny" red cord (thick one like 1/4 inch) and glue the pine cones on the garland every foot or so. It becomes a garland for the tree.

Someone painted on the parenting board I loved this idea and I think I am going to do this with the kids.

You take green pain and you paint the bottom of feet up until his toes. Then you paint the toes red. When you have him put his foot on the paper make sure that the feet are next to each other. When you are done add a star at the top and it looks like a christmas tree.
Maybe do it on cardstock and have that be their card from him. Then you can always decorate it a little with some glitter.

Michael's also has this foam gingerbread houses that go together like a puzzle but it is 3D and then he glues on the shapes.

Yesterday we decorated a gingerbread house. Michael's has the kit for $9.99 and it comes with pre-made gingerbread, the icing and candy. It is a little messy but easy to clean up. If you go this route. I would assemble the house first because you need about 30-45 minutes for the seams to dry and make sure the house stays together.
