So I have an interview this week-UPDATED
Right now I sell educational software. The new position is selling License Plate Recognition software and equipment. I would still work with Universities but also with municipalities and the Police. Wish me luck
So I had the interview on Tursday. It went very well. The manager and I had a grteat rapport. He won't be making a decision until Mid-December and unfortunately-I am up against a guy that has all sorts of contacts in Raleigh but no sales experience. I have no contacts and 10 years of sales experience...He was visibly torn about it and implied that he may create a third territory to hire me. The potential is about what I am making now 1st year but you get a company car which adds value.
Also another weird thing is he asked me if I had done fund raising before. Apparently his brother is a bigwig over at the American Heart Association so he said if his hiring decision goes another way he would get me an interview with him. So-strange but positive interview
