So frustrated! UPDATED in first post

Hi ladies-

I am sorry that I have not been posting much on here. I've been trying to keep my head as clear from PG-topics as possible, or I drive myself nuts.

So, today is CD39 for me. I used OPKs for the first time this month, and got my Chat Icon on DC 21, so I am now approximately 18DPO. My breasts are a little sore and sensitive, and I've had some yellowish discharge (sorry, TMI) but otherwise, I don't have any PG symptoms. However, with no AF symptoms, and this far along in my cycle, I was sure that I was PG. I tested this morning with FMU, and got a BFN, written clearly out for me by CBE: "not pregnant". I know it's not over until AF shows her ugly face, but I can't understand why at this many days DPO, the test isn't detecting any PG hormone, and AF hasn't shown. My body is so frustrating!!!

Just needed to vent. Thanks as always ladies.

UPDATE:
Well, today is CD 46 or 25 DPO, and I got a third BFN. I think the only thing more frustrating than AF arriving when you are TTC is her not arriving, and still not being PG. I'm going to call my dr. on Monday to discuss what's going on. Thanks for the support.

UPDATE - 12/7/09

Just spoke to my doctor. She said that I should wait until I've gone 10 weeks without AF, and then call her and she will give me meds to start my cycle.

Meanwhile, I have been a little nauseous for the past few days, and my boobs are sore, but I really don't think I'm PG, esp. not after three BFNs. Way TMI, but there haven't been that many opportunities for it to happen lately...lol!

Re: So frustrated!

This whole process is so frustrating!!!

Do you temp?? I'm asking because if you have 18 high temps since your ovulation that is an indicator of pregnancy.

This is our last month of trying for a summer baby, so I'm all nervous Chat Icon I can't not have a summer baby with my career as a teacher being that I do not have a permanent position. I know I'm going to be a wreck if it doesn't happen.

I'll be thinking of you and praying for ya! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I know how fustrating that is.

Well since you have some symptoms....it could be your are a very late implanter and it takes some time to build up hcg in your system.

Sometimes stress will make your cycle really thrown off and late too.

I hope u find out one way or another.

Re: So frustrated!

Thanks ladies. CD 41 today, and no AF, and another BFN this morning. I wasn't going to POAS again, but I have a dentist appt. this afternoon, and I was concerned about x-rays. I don't plan on POAS again until the weekend, and will then call my doctor if it's a BFN and AF hasn't come.

Babysmomma, I don't temp, but I am considering starting for my next cycle. I hear your frustration about needing to have a summer baby. It's so difficult when you work in a school Lots of Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon to you and everyone else!

I'm sorry!!! I hate when AF is so late.

Were you really stressed or sick this month???

I had a month like this in April...where i was just so stressed and upset about TTC,..then i got sick too and my cycle was 45+ days too. Unfortunately the strress of TTC can def throw off yoru cycle.

Also, they say it can take up to 6 months for your cycles to get back to normal after a mc.

I would def talk to your doc though. It doesn't hurt to let them know and see if there is anything they can do.

Sorry. I know how fustrating it is...I def have been there too. I think that one month in April I must of spent about $200 worth of POAS. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Keep us updated. I hope AF arrives soon, so you can start on your next cycle.

Re: So frustrated! UPDATED in first post

Just an FYI- a +OPK does not mean you Oed that day. It means you will likely O in 12-36 hours after the +. Also, it is possible to get a +OPK, but to not ovulate. It means your body was gearing up to O, but then didn't, or delayed it.

When I was trying to get pg with DD#2, I temped while using OPKs. For 2 months I would get a +OPK, then not ovulate for another 5 days. I would have never known this is I hadn't been charting my temps.

It sounds like you may have had an anovulatory cycle, or you Oed late.Chat Icon

Re: So frustrated! UPDATED in first post

Thanks ladies. I posted my update up top. Just seems like it's going to be that much longer until I become a mommy.

I spent all day yesterday with infants, and then at the end of one of the parties, my best friend hugs me and says, "I'm going to call you in a week with some news." I know she has been TTC, and she knows I have, and about my M/C. I am happy for her, of course, but I started crying in the car. Chat Icon
