Wow... floored by a parent's generosity...

So, in my mailbox and my team partner's mailbox today were gifts from 'Santa' to each of us and our respective classes.

The office staff said that a parent dropped them off, but they're supposed to be annon.

So, I go upstairs and open it with my kids... and find two 18 count packages of glue sticks - which I was super excited about since glue sticks are like gold in my class.

Then, one of my kids says 'hey look, there's a gift card.' It was taped to one of the containers...

There were TWO $50 gift cards. One to Barnes and Nobel and one to Target. I honestly can't believe how generous this parent was - I'm pumped about getting some new books and other materials for my classroom.

And, what really gets me, is the parent did the same thing for the other teacher (we share all the kids back and forth).

I'll be writing a TY note tonight and am having the 'office elves' send it to the parent in the mail.

This is such a huge help since we're going on our second year w/o a raise. Yay!
