Pain Management Clinics

Does anyone know of any outside of Stony Brook that accept Medicaid?

Or any doctors who specialize in this area? I am looking for a client in Lindenhurst. The clinic I have connected him with is good and the doctors will work with him, but the thing is, he does not really care for the clinic I have found for him.

I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that they cater more to the MR/DD population and "people in wheel chairs" and he sees this and gets upset that this is where I've sent him.

Stony Brook has him on a waiting list and it could take at least 6 months for him to be seen and they have told me that he needs to have his pain meds managed mostly by the PCP. Again, he only has Medicaid. Southside was recommended to me, but they don't take Medicaid.

P.S. I have also requested a list from Medicaid but that will probably take a week or so. TIA!!!

dr weingarten in plainview is a good pain management dr... i dont know if they take medicaid though....
