How early can you O
I hope someone has some insight. I only started charting last month and O'd on CD15. I started the OPK this morning and got a circle (no smiley face), but wondered if I could have already O'd. I'm on CD10 today and noticed a rise in temps over the last three days.
Any insight would be appreciated. I'm trying to understand charting and O and how they relate to BBT, but still need some direction.

Re: How early can you O
Actually you can ovulate at any time during your cycle. However, most of the time, it would take at least 9 days for the follies to be mature enough.....The follies grow at about 1-2 mm a day...when they are over 18mm, they are considered mature, and the average follie 'ovulates' when it is about 22mm.
If you post your chart, I can tell you if it appears that ovulation occurred.
Some high temps can be random.
When the follicule ruptures (ovulation) the egg is released, what's left of the follicule remains in your ovary. That is called the corpus luteum and it secretes progesterone. Progesterone causes your temps to increase..to a new level (thermal shift). The time after O until AF is called the luteal phase named after the corpus luteum. (LP).
Therefore, temping shows , when ovulation has occurred because the temps will stay elevated during the LP.

Re: How early can you O
If you look at last month's chart, look at your coverline. Coverline's usually stay constant. See what the temps were Post O, last cycle...that's the range you should be looking for this cycle.
