a craft emergency....
so i ordered custom feathered gel pens for SD's guest book, well the etsy vendor did a magnificent job wrapping ribbon around the pens, but the caps didn't fit back on. She shipped them to my from Washington & the are beautiful, but they don't write! Is there any trick to getting a gel pen to come back to life????? I'm so bummed, she told me she'd refund me but I ordered the book with black pages because she was making these pens, now we'll have to just have gel pens with no feathers
any suggestions would be great

Re: a craft emergency....
Can you buy new gel pens & use the materials from the original to make your own?

when we were kids and our pens stopped flowing, my dad would touch the tip of them (ball points) to a warm stove burner, and that would do it sometimes.
I think that you could easily make new ones though. you can buy the ostridge feathers at Michaels and get some matching ribbon with rhinestones. Craft glue would prob be the way to go for the ribbon, but i'd hot glue the stones.
