Can wicker be painted?

I have the perfect wicker bathroom accessory that will hold all of my daily needs. It is 13 years old and from my sister's 1st apartment. I can't find anything like it anywhere...

it's made of wicker and kind of dingy--can I spray it with a coat of paint??

Here's a pic if your're interested and perhaps can help me find some other similar items.

My aunt had an entire set of white wicker furniture so it MUST be able to be painted. I would try Michael's or Lowe's and ask someone in the paint department what they'd recommend with regards to type/finish. I imagine spray paint would work.

I sprayed wicker furniture with a gloss finish spray paint and it worked perfectly. I wouldn't brush paint it because it would be pretty hard to get into all the crevices without making a mess.

Rustoleum has an entire section devoted to painting wicker, both indoors and out. Since this is for the bathroom, I would go with the outdoor paint.

You can spray paint wicker. My neighbor just redid wicker chairs like that.
