Please recommend your RE in Nassau.

Morning Ladies!

I was hoping that you would be able to recommend your RE in Nassau County. I am in Carle Place (central Nassau), so anything is Nassau or Western Suffolk would work for me.

Re: Please recommend your RE in Nassau.

I have to say Braverman as well. I like his style and I think he is unconventional, well read, and willing to go the extra mile to get to the goal.

I wish you the best!

i 10000% agree with everyone.

Dr. B is the best doctor I have ever seen in any field hands down.

It's worth it to go to Woodbury.
I work in Carle Place and it takes me less than 20 mins to get to his office.

Dr. Braverman gets rave reviews on this board, but if you are looking to interview someone else or get a second opinion, I can't recommend Dr. Flisser at RMANY enough. The office is in Garden City. My twins are a result of his expertise!

Good luck!

Although I have had mixed experiences at the Center for Human Reproduction, they did get me pregnant rather quickly, and let me have a say in the course of my treatment, so overall, I would have to recommend them!

Just wondering why they were mixed.. I am also looking for a doctor and I was wondering if there were any reasons you would not recommend them.

I had a negative experience with Dr. Rosenfeld, although I know that some others love him. Also, some of the office staff could use a lesson in being polite, but others are fantastic.... A couple of appts we were made to wait a really long time. Then we were 7 minutes late to an appt on a sunday morning and Dr. Scholl (who I otherwise liked) made a comment about it. A couple of the problems completely had to do with the women who scheduled the appts, always having me arrive super early and then I would be made to wait for an hour +. My main Dr. is Chu and I love her. I also really liked Dr. Herschlag.

I don't know, I just think that the whole process is so overwhelmingly emotional and I think that all the doctors, nurses and staff at these places should be REALLY nice and REALLY sensitive. maybe my expectations are too high though!

Dr Sung and Dr Stelling at RS of NY! Both very knowledgeable and great doctors. And I have a beautiful baby girl from it!

Re: Please recommend your RE in Nassau.

My pregnancy now is a product of the outstanding docs and nurses from the Center for Human Reproduction! I saw all of the doctors, and loved every single one of them! I highly recommend them. I NEVER had an issue with anyone being rude or impolite. Everyone has a totally different attitude about them , so it really depends on you! Good luck!

Center for Human Reproduction at NSUH...... I have nothing but good things to say and had nothing but good expeirences there. I loved DR Herschlag but they were all good. I saw all Dr.'s in the group and DR Chu is the one that did my IVF and it worked the first try.....

Good Luck to you with whatever Dr you pick.

i totally agree with you - i go there also and i LOVE Dr. Hershlag - he is basically the reason i go there. but, the staff could definitely benefit from a lesson or two in how to treat people who are going through such an emotional process

my waits are usually long ones also!

but overall my experience there has been very good - i am starting my cycle this month so i can let you know how it all turns out!

good luck!

Ive had nothing but good experiences there. Without them, I wouldn't have Abby. My primary doctor is Dr. Rosenfeld and I adore him. He is pragmatic and never rushed me into a treatment or medication I didn't need. He is a one-step-at-a-time kind of guy. The nurses were always pleasant and congratulatory when I got PG as well as comforting and consoling with my losses. It was very hard for me when I was released to my regular OB. I did not want to go.

Their Saturday and Sunday hours are only for retrievals, transfers and IUIs and not consultations, bloodwork or sonograms - only ONE of the 5 MD's are there on a weekend. They do the retrievals and transfers first so if they run late, the MANY people waiting in the lobby for IUIs are left wondering why they are waiting so long. However, once the IUIs start, they bang em out pretty fast.

Hi Maria!

I am also looking for a good RE in Nassau County, so thanks for posting this!

We had a meeting with Dr. Cohen from the Center for Human Reproduction at North Shore LIJ a few years ago, and we did like him. We went there from a recommendation from an out of state friend who asked about good place in Nassau County on one of her forums.

Good luck with this process and feel free to share any information you receive regarding RE's in Nassau County.

Re: Please recommend your RE in Nassau.

I would highly recommend Dr Sung or Dr Trivax at Reproductive Specialists of NY in Mineola.

i've been going there for 4 months now and they've all been super helpful and every person there is incredibly kind. They know its an emotional time for you, and every person there from the receptionists to the financial people, the NP's and the ultrasound techs are always really friendly. They have early morning appointments for bloodwork and sono's (6:30 a.m.) so you can get in and out before you have to go to work. They're open on the weekends too.

I can't say i've had any results yet but i've learned a lot while i've been there and i'm confident that we'll get our BFP soon (fingers crossed)

good luck!
