PLEASE HELP ASAP
Hi Everyone,
I am having a problem in my class that I have never really had before. I have students making fun of other students because of the clothes they wear, their race, and because they wear glasses or have a speech impediment.
We have had several discussions together about respecting each other and how we are all special..That obviously didn't work!
Does anyone have any good books to read, movies t show, activities to do to help me put this issue to bed??
Help, I'm desperate!

I actually just had to read a book about bullying to a class I was subbing in called "Say Something." It gave a few scenarios of bullying situations and made the kids think about how it would feel if someone treated them that way. I think on the last page it had some ideas for follow up activities as well.

my district did this as a school wide initiative on the elementary level and it's been great. the author will come to the school, but if your school/PTA doesn't want to do that, at least read the book with the class. it's great!
