How do you grow out your eyebrows....

without looking like a beastly mess??

I want to start over/fresh. My arch is missing, uneven right now..uck.

Whats s ucky is that Im so hairy...two wks is the most I get can get away with and omg, they are bad.

Its scary how much of a difference it makes when I get a clean up!

Don't pluck, not at all. To help the stray ones blend in better, I use concealer to "color" the hairs. In 4 weeks you should see a vast improvement and then you can get them shaped again!

I tend to overpluck every now and then and I screw up my arch... I generally have to avoid my bathroom mirror for a while in order to not pluck, but I'm not very hairy and my eyebrows aren't all that dark so I can deal.

I tried to grow them out before my wedding.

I grew them out for over two months, for non-Italian girls that is probably more like a year.

My eyebrows grew EVERYWHERE EXCEPT the areas I needed to fill in. The girl told me the truth and didn't even charge me for the eyebrow "shaping" just a regular wax b/c she couldn't get the shape she wanted.

I messed up my arch on one side, but I am also over due for a hair cut, so I just wore my bangs in my face for a while!

I found that by going and getting threaded more often, I could clean up but still let them fill in (mine are thick to begin with, but the ends were pencil thin and looked strange). She only threaded the areas that needed to be and let the other grow out.

a couple months ago, i had a horrible experience with Helga the hot waxer

I went to a nail place with my sister, and she swore it was great, i told the lady just clean them up, well she took off half my eyebrows

I hysterically cried, i am trying to grow them in, its hard, but you can not touch them at all, use lots of conealer, brush them with an eyebrow brush trim them with a scissor

It stinks but i had to do it,

Don't pluck, use the scissors to trim and shape instead

I just let mine grow out because the shape was a mess, OMG it was terrible. My eyebrows are SO furry but it had to be done. I went 6 weeks and now Im loving them again. I used a lot of eyebrow wax to keep what I could in place.

I grew mine out recently and just plucked the ones that were really stray (i.e., smack in the middle of my eyes). I also agree with PP who said to trim them with scissors a bit.

I was just going to post this exact question.

I am a pluck ADDICT and I seriously cannot stand eyebrow hair that needs to be waxed.

My eyebrows need help. I managed to over the last couple of weeks grow in the tops(i literally had to hide the tweezers from myself lol), but I really need to grow in the arch part and I just cant stand it.

I have blonde hair, but my eyebrows are SIGNIFICANTLY darker (always have been) so I dont know what to do.

I actually have never had my eyes brows waxed because of my addiction to plucking them.

I grew mine out right before my wedding. 2 months w/out getting my brows threaded Just have to let them grow

im in the same boat and actually posted a thread about this recently...my brows have been so messed up and every time i grew them in a bit, i would pick up the tweezers and screw them up...for about a week now i have avoided looking too closely in the mirror because once i find a stray hair, i cant stop finding more and always wind up over tweezing...but mine have actually been growing in nicely...all ive been doing is waxing around my brows like once a week (im not italian like some other folks who have responded but my eyebrows seem to grow so fast), and tweezing the strays way under, above and of course in the middle, every few days as they are growing in..i also trim them as needed with a cuticle scissor (i think it is) and a dry unused masacara brush...surprisingly, my new plan of attack has been working great and they are getting thicker and longer...even though they are not as neat as i would like, its totally tolerable as long as i dont go too near my actual brows...i think also that we look too closely and see more than anyone else would notice...as long as you keep them as neat as you can and dont spend as much time on them as you normally would, you should do okay...good luck to all of us!!

Put the tweezer down.... I'm one of the compulsive people who has a magnifying mirror and plucks every night. If you want to grow them out, don't pluck for a week. Start that way - they get rid of the crazy strays. It's really hard not to, but they'll grow in and then you can get them shaped.
