My wonderful amazing mother. Long story short, She had open heart surgery july 2008 for valve replacment. All went great. However when she came out of surgery she basically has no short term memory. We have had her at Dr. after Dr, they have all said Oh give it time, her memory will improve. We would accept that answer for awhile and than bring her again as Its our mom and its so hard to see her like this. Well today I took her to see ANOTHER neurologist, who said that she has suffered several strokes and since her memory is not getting better It may be Alzheimers . I have to bring her back in 2 weeks for addl testing which will confirm if it is. This is just devestaing to my 4 siblings and myself as she is a young and beautiful 72 yr old that up until her surgery she was capable of anything. Loved life and full of energy. Please send many many prayers her way that its not Alzheimers, as thats such an awful sad disease to watch someone suffer with. Thank you all so much!!!!
