What goes in a cover letter?
Being that I have been in school for the past 25 years, I have never actually applied for a job in the professional world.
What do you say in a cover letter? How long should it be?

3 paragraphs, introduce yourself and tell how you found the job, why you're qualified and how you can be reached or when you'll bug, I mean, contact them...

A cover letter is typically a summary of your resume that tells the hiring manager why you are the right candidate for the job.
