Feelings after BFP?????
Hi Ladies. Quick question. I just completed an IVF cycle and I finally got my BFP for the first time ever (I am 4 weeks and 2 days.) However, I just cant seem to enjoy it. I am worried about EVERYTHING!!! All I keep thinking about is everything that could possibly go wrong. Did anyone else feel this way????? I wish I could just relax and enjoy the moment but so far I cant. Just curious how everyone else handled it.

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Yay!! Congrats!
I think most women are very nervous the entire 1st trimester. That is completely normal. Just try to think about the positive and how great it will be once the baby arrives.

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Since I havent had a BFP late, I can't say I know how you feel, but I am already having thoughts that when I do get mine I will be a nervous wreck. I think its pretty normal - just try to relax and enjoy it. It stinks that we work so hard for our BFPs and then they are so hard to enjoy/believe. Congrats to you though! HH 9 months!

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Yes, I felt this way and even more so because I had a miscarriage before I got pregnant with my twins. It did ease up a bit after the first trimester, but I can't say I fully relaxed until I was holding them in my arms... Congratulations!!

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
I had 4 losses before I got my IVF BFP. I was nervous until about 17 weeks or so. I got a fetal doppler and that helped immensely. I listened to them every day. I got mine from Belly Beats but it doesn't work until 10-12 weeks or so. After my pregnancy I kicked myself since I really couldn't enjoy it

I was a nervous wreck for my entire 1st trimester. Totally natural to feel that way. Just try to take it easy and not stress too much!

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Ugh, I really thought this would be the most amazing time of my life. But, since I got my BFP, I have just been soooo stressed and anxious! I, unfortunately, have a sub-chorionic bleed, so I really haven't been able to relax.
I think it is totally normal for people who have gone through as much as we all have to feel like it can't really be happening... But, try to enjoy it! Once this bleed stops, I will be on cloud 9!!!!
Congrats!

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Congrats!!!!!!!
At 9weeks now I'm still obsessed with every little thing, and I didn't let myself even celebrate the BFP until we heard the heartbeat. I am still under my re care and I get a sono every week. Next week will be my last week before I'm released and honestly I'm scared to death. I think its normal though, because we all had to go through so much to get pg. It gets better with each week and sono.

I felt the same way. I am still not excited at all in fear that something is going to go wrong, and I will have to start all over. (I have no frozen embryos)

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
I was the same way up until I had DS in my arms. Any pain, discomfort or feeling I had I questioned whether it was normal or something was going to happen to the baby. For me it did get easier once we past the 1st tri. Once we found out what we were having a son I lightened up a bit. I would still worry nonetheless but not nearly as bad as when I was in the 1st tri.

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
first off congrats!!!!!
its totally normal to feel that way. i felt that way until i started to feel ds kick at 20 weeks. then i relaxed and enjoyed my pregnancy. if there were times ds was sleeping and not active i would make sure to eat something super sugary so i would wake him up lol
congrats - the worry never ends but its the most wonderful experience in the world

Re: Feelings after BFP?????
Congrats. I could have written this myself. I was a wreck for the first 20 weeks. I was on TP patrol from the day of my first BFP. Totally normal. Once your baby starts to move they will give you daily reminders that they are alive and kicking. Hang it there it will get better.
