Need sugg. for ADD child
I have a child who is very up and down on his assessments. I am looking for strategies to help him stay focused while he is taking his tests..especially his upcoming ELA.
Any thoughts? TIA
Edited to say..lol he is not mine..he is my student..:)

Re: Need sugg. for ADD child
do you have a school psychologist that you could talk to? When we have students with test anxiety, ours will work with them.

Re: Need sugg. for ADD child
Is he diagnosed with ADD? or just distracted? You could try putting something on his desk to remind him to focus, like picture of a child working or implement a behavior chart. Whatever you decide will have to be implemented throughout the day to help with his behavior. If it's just test related anxiety, I would work with him on test taking strategies and relaxation techniques. HTH
