Party Help!

I'm inviting 77 people - how much paper goods should I get? Plates, napkins, cups, utensils, etc..

Also - the party is from 8 - 12 - how many songs should I put on the iPod? I figure 4 hours = 240 mins. 4 mins per song... 240/4 = 60 songs. Sound about right? Chat Icon

What else do I need?

It's a casino theme - I have drinks, food, dessert.

It's at a VFW hall - should I just buy a casino party pack of decorations? What should I do for centerpieces?

Aaaaack - it's so close!!! I'm freaking.

Re: Party Help!

I would get
150 plates/for dinner and 150 dessert plates
same with napkins
200 cups
200 forks, spoons, knifes
table clothes for each table and food tables
serving spoons
If you are bringing in the food don't forget butter, parm cheese, salad dress, etc
milk and sugar for coffee/tea
I would buy some casino themed items and match colors for plates/napkins etc. This stuff gets expensive.
Centerpieces can be....maybe a bucket filled with play money and playing cards, with poker chips around it.
Hope this helps! Have fun!!

I would get more cups. Peple usually throw them away after each drink. 200 cups won't be enough for 3 drinks each.

When you are setting up don't open up all the papergoods. Open them as you need them then return whatever is left over. Buy extra serving spoons they always break or get dropped on the floor.

This is probably just me but when I cater parties people never bring little milk jugs for when it is time to serve the coffee. I hate the look of a nice dessert table with a gallon of milk sitting on it.

If you have a big drinking crowd you may want to think about having a hero that you put out 1.5 hours before the party ends. Drunk people love to eat.
