Following up after Interview?
I had an interview two weeks ago (which lasted three hours!) where I met with HR, a manager, and the CFO. I was contacted by HR a few days later to meet with another manager (whom I met with last week). At the conclusion of that interview, the manager said that she would confer with the CFO and HR would get back to me. I haven't heard anything from them....What is the proper etiquette for following up on the status of the hiring process? Email? Phone call? The company is less than a mile from my house - would it be appropriate to stop by and speak to my HR contact?

yes i would call. i wouldn't show up in person out of the blue. it could make them feel awkward if they have to scramble to figure out what happened while you're standing there, if they're still interviewing or if they have bad news to tell you.
